If you are new to the world of wikis, welcome to a great tool for collaboration and sharing!! This site will serve us as a tool to disseminate information and as a place for out of class reflection and discussion.
For our next class on February 20:
- Read "Teaching expository text structures through information trade book retellings" by Barbara Moss and design a retelling activity to be carried out with your students. Then, go to the Discussion Tab above and share what you did and learned from the activity. For more details, click on the link on the left entitled Retelling Activity.
- For your next journal reflection, choose one article from a list of professional readings (see link on left), read it and write a 1-2 page reflection on how you can use the information in your classroom. Email me your article choice and I will send you a copy.
- As we will not be meeting March 6 as originally scheduled, I would like to find a date to meet after school. Please consider the following dates and come to class prepared to share what works best for you: March 2, 3, 4, 10 or 11.
- In the next day or so, I'll be posting details regarding the unit project. Please look them over and email or see me with your questions. We will spend some time in class talking about this, so try to have some ideas of what you would like to work on.
